The beginning of a new month can be overwhelming.
I have to change the calendar on the fridge so the whole family can attempt to stay updated on life. And lord forbid I’m a day late changing it — everyone will instantly forget what day it is. Like, time no longer exists.
I use a dry erase calendar on my fridge to keep everyone informed about our day-to-day life. It helps… until it doesn’t.
Because once I erase it, anything important that lived there is just gone.
Yes, I’m That Mom
I also have a family binder.
Yes, a binder.
Actually… binders.
Plus unfinished notebooks.
Plus sticky notes with random lists and thoughts I needed to get out of my head before they swallowed me whole.
It’s just who I am.
When my brain gets overwhelmed by this chaotic life, writing things down is how I release it. It’s how I regulate. It’s how I ground myself back on earth.
I use these planner sheets in my binder too, because once the fridge calendar gets wiped clean, I lose the details — the reminders, the thoughts, the things I didn’t want to forget.
“Why Not Just Take a Picture?”
I already know what you’re thinking.
“Why not just take a picture of the calendar?”
Girl.
I have over 9,000 photos in my phone that I have never looked back at. I keep adding more and organizing none of them. That system does not work for me.
Writing it down does.
Pen to paper slows my brain down. It makes things feel real, manageable, and less loud.
This Is Why I Created This Planner
I didn’t create this planner to be aesthetic.
I didn’t create it to make myself “more productive.”
I created it because I needed somewhere for the chaos to go.
I needed a place to:
- get schedules out of my head
- see my week without pressure
- plan without pretending I’m someone who has it all together
I created it for me.
But I know I’m not the only mom living like this — juggling mental notes, half-finished systems, calendars, binders, and sticky notes just trying to stay afloat.
If This Sounds Like You
If your schedule feels hectic whether it’s:
- in your head
- on your phone
- or half written somewhere
You’re not failing. You’re just carrying too much.
This planner is a simple weekly and monthly reset for overwhelmed moms who don’t need another system — they just need relief.

Use it imperfectly.
Print it. Write all over it.
Stick it in a binder if that’s your thing.
The goal isn’t perfection.
It’s getting the noise out of your head.
